A specialist computer manufacturer for the oil and gas industry is offering businesses live online demonstrations during the coronavirus lockdown.
With face-to-face meetings and international travel heavily restricted, HMi Elements is giving new and existing customers chance to learn the benefits of its computers in order to meet requests.
The free demonstrations are led by HMi Elements’ VP Global Sales, Rob Gaines who is based in Houston.
People can register online and also specify individual requirements such as their preferred time and the products they want to discuss.
Rob Gaines, HMi Elements’ VP Global Sales, said: “We have been in business over 30 years and are encountering our biggest challenge but it is one we are facing head on.
“This means innovating and doing things differently in order to satisfy customer demand for our products.
“We are still receiving a lot of enquiries from companies who are using the lockdown period to prepare so they’re ready to capitalise on business opportunities and operate as efficiently as possible once restrictions ease.
“The online demonstrations allow us to engage verbally and visually to show our products and answer any questions.
“The sessions we have held so far have been an overwhelming success and we expect more to book on to benefit.”
Central to HMi Elements demonstrations is its new groundbreaking 1301-Z1 model which is the oil and gas industry’s first field maintainable zone 1 computer.
ATEX, IECEx and AEx certified, the 19” display computer has a range of new market-leading technology and design features including glove-friendly touchscreen controls.
It also has unique edge-to-edge glass and a high resolution 1,000-nit display so it can be used even in the brightest oil and gas environments.
With an integrated power supply unit all six sides are waterproof and ingress protected to IP66/NEMA 4X standard and it can operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +60°C (-40°F to +140°F).
HMi 1301-Z1 features a high-speed i7 processor, a choice of operating voltages and has Ethernet, Fibre, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as standard.
Crafted from a single piece of anodised aluminium, it is lighter and slimmer than anything before with just a 5” wide profile and a choice of mounting options.
Equipped with HMi Elements’ unique Health System Monitoring firmware, the hinged-front enclosure provides easy internal access for maintenance in a safe area.
